Reviewed November 2025The organic Tenuta Principe Alberico 2024 Appia Antica 400 Bianco is a blend of Sémillon and Malvasia del Lazio. This is an entry-level white that opens to a shiny straw appearance. It sees stainless steel only. It's easy-drinking and fun with good freshness, honeydew melon, apple, quince and salty mineral. Production is 32,000 bottles. (ML)
Notes
Sémillon and Malvasia del Lazio meet in the 2024 Appia Antica 400, a Lazio IGT white from Tenuta Principe Alberico. The estate’s vineyards lie in Rome’s volcanic countryside, where Sémillon has a long history in the family’s winemaking. Made entirely in stainless steel, this bottling joins that French variety with a grape rooted in Lazio. It offers an introduction to the estate’s white wines and their distinctive choice of grapes.
