Reviewed April 2025A charming, complex nose of spicy red fruits, dried flowers, and loamy earth emerges from the 2023 Pinot Noir Soberanes Vineyard. Medium-bodied and round on the palate, it has a supple, expansive mouthfeel and soft tannins. This is a forward, delicious, already impossible to resist Pinot Noir from the Soberanes Vineyard. Drink through 2033.

The 2023 Pinot Noir Soberanes Vineyard is a wine of palate-staining intensity and breadth. It’s also a little softer and more open than some of the other wines in the lineup. Fresh and resonant, the 2023 fleshes out with swaths of red cherry, black raspberry, kirsch, sage and blood orange. The Soberanes is very forward and explosively flavorful, enticing with its velvety mouthfeel and integrated tannins. (BN)

This is fresh as well as caressing and generous in feel, with boysenberry and mulberry puree notes that glide through, plus anise, cola and black tea nuances. The flattering finish tilts to the toasty side. A crowd-pleaser. Best from 2026 through 2031. (JM)
