The 2025 Riesling Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr Spätlese still has a slight vestige of flintiness on the nose. The palate is a picture of dripping, ripe and juicy yellow peach flesh, beautifully sweet, wonderfully tempered with lemon. The finish subsumes everything in Amalfi lemon and leaves a gorgeous trail of zestiness. (Sweet) (AK)

This classic German Riesling from the Mosel offers peach and apricot aromas on the nose and a sweet lush palate with just the right amount of acidity and minerality to keep it all in perfect balance. Try with roast pork and sauerkraut or red cabbage.

95pts Mosel Fine Wines: "The 2025er Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese was made from almost only clean fruit harvested at 90° Oechsle and was fermented down to sweet levels of residual sugar (85 g/l). It delivers a beautifully reductive herbal nose of tangerine, orange blossom, minty herbs, laurel, iodine, and freshly cut herbs. The wine is superbly playful and balanced on the palate, where delicate white and yellow fruits interplay with spices and herbs. The finish is layered and hugely long. This is a splendid Spätlese. 2035-2065."(07/2026)
