Lágrimas del Valle was built around the idea that tequila should express individual harvests and places, but La Mesa del Charco represents something even more significant: the brand’s first true Single Estate release. The agave comes entirely from a field outside El Arenal owned and operated by the Rosales family of Tequila Cascahuín. In an industry where even excellent distilleries commonly depend upon agave purchased from independent growers, this degree of control is exceptionally rare. From cultivation and harvest through distillation and bottling at Cascahuín (NOM 1123), every stage remains in the hands of the same family. The agave was harvested in 2025 at an extraordinary elevation of 1,469 meters, surrounded by campanilla flowers, eucalyptus and guamúchil trees. Most striking of all is its average sugar concentration of 38% Brix, an unusually high measurement that speaks to the exceptional maturity, concentration and quality of the harvested plants. Bottled as an unaged Plata at a robust 46% ABV, this is the clearest possible expression of that remarkable raw material and its place of origin. Layers of tangerine, clove and anise lead into a rich, velvety palate of white chocolate, dried cherry and almond. Full-flavored, complex and richly sweet, this is estate tequila in the truest sense and one of the most revealing expressions yet from the Rosales family.
