Reviewed January 2024Planted in the 1990s. Clear pink purple, very pretty nose, in a lifted fresh raspberry fruit, with significant density behind. What more could one want? Paul thinks this is the best he has made since he started in 2018, and I see no reason to quarrel. Lovely fresh red fruit aftertaste. Drink from 2025-2027.

The 2022 Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Rouge comes from the same parcel as the white, though this is slightly less than a hectare. With cranberry and wild strawberry fruit on the feisty nose, it gradually calms down and attains commendable delineation. The medium-bodied palate has a slight piquancy on the entry, a crisp line of acidity and pastille-like red fruit on the finish. Drink over the next 3 or 4 years. (NM)
