Reviewed April 2015Gaby has been through many changes of ownership recently, and the owner since 2016 is American Thomas Sullivan. I find recent vintages porty and unbalanced, but this 2012 is impressive. There are dense black fruits on the nose, while the palate is rich and suave, with ample concentration, fine-grained tannins, and impressive density of fruit. Oaky, spicy, and complex, it has a long, zesty, harmonious finish. (SB)

Jancis Robinson
Deep greyish crimson. Scented dark fruit, touch of violets. Really nice finely dry texture. Almost chalky but lively and fresh too. Firm and filled out by fruit. (JH)

Wine Spectator
Offers vibrant violet, blackberry paste and plum coulis flavors, with polished, integrated toast and an enticing anise note. The chalky spine is nicely embedded through the finish. A solid effort for the vintage. (JM)
