Mars Shinshu Iwai Rye Style Blended Japanese Whisky (750ml)

Rye-forward blended whisky produced by Mars Komagatake (fka Mars Shinshu) in Nagano, Japan. This new whisky is a blend of Mars “Iwai” whisky and American straight rye whiskey distilled at an undisclosed Kentucky distillery. The Iwai whisky which is a blend of 70% corn and 30% unpeated malted barley, with the barley distilled twice in Miyake copper pot stills and aged in ex-bourbon barrels, and the American rye is 95% rye and 5% malted barley aged in new charred American oak. The vatting is briefly rested in stainless steel before bottled with no age statement at 100 proof. This is perfect for your favorite cocktail or highball.
