Crafted with whole clusters and aged in cement tanks, the 2023 Chénas Cuvée P'tit Co Les Brureaux opens with inviting aromas of chocolate, black cherry and baking spices. Medium to full-bodied and with ripe acidity, the wine is rounded and voluminous, carried gracefully across the palate. The smooth-coated, woven tannins conform to the wine's structure, building gradually to a focused finish that reveals a twist of orange zest, underpinned by subtle graphite salinity. Domaine Anita was founded in 2015 by Anita Neveu after a stint in the professional cycling world led her to the rolling hills of Beaujolais. Situated in Chénas, the domaine covers 15 hectares in Moulin à Vent, Morgon, Chénas, Fleurie, Beaujolais and Beaujolais-Villages. The domaine's ethos is dedicated to showcasing the distinctive personalities of each parcel, making 12 cuvées in total. The vineyards are planted with high-density spacings, up to 10,000 vines per hectare, and boast mostly old vines. The work in the vineyard is sustainable and non-dogmatic, using treatments only when necessary, and will focus on soil vitality in hopes of increasing the organic matter and water-holding capacity in the future. Anita opts to pick her grapes later than the average, with the stylistic goal of achieving total ripeness, especially in the stems and seeds. In the cellar, the grapes are destemmed according to the characteristics of the parcel and are vinified in non-coated cement tanks with daily punch-downs. Aging take
