Reviewed January 2024Although it is classed as village-level, Les Bossières, right behind the Grivot winery, is bordered by premier cru La Croix Rameau and not far from Romanée-Saint-Vivant. Grivot has nearly three-quarters of a hectare that they bottle separately from the Vosne village. The vines delivered a fine result in 2022, giving a wine of lovely depth and unaccustomed richness with black plum fruit aromas, firm tannins, and impressive length at the village level.(CC)

A pretty ruby purple. The nose has a class and an intensity of ripe red berry fruit at a level well above the regular Vosne-Romanée. Graceful and delicious. Pleasingly persistent, worth trading up to if available. Drink from 2028-2036.

Vinous
The 2022 Vosne-Romanée Bossières has a pretty bouquet with cranberry and raspberry scents, just a touch of cedar and dark chocolate in the background - but the terroir speaks here. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannins, quite tensile and saline. It is nicely poised on the finish, evoking images of the sea, quite briny in fact. A top-notch Village Cru.(NM)

Firm reduction. There is a lovely inner mouth perfume to the vibrant and spicy flavors that aren't especially dense but possess even better depth and persistence on the balanced finale. This is also a wine to consider as it's an excellent Vosne villages.*Burghound Top Value!*
