The 2022 Loibner Ried Burgstall Riesling is very pure, bright, fresh and stony on the fine and rather coolish nose that represents the well-ventilated, table-like site on sandy gneiss soils. Light, lush and playfukl on the palate, with a certain roundness and off-dryish Riesling character, this is a delicate, rather light terroir wine that did remarkably well in 2022. (SR)

The 2022 Riesling Burgstall was picked on a granite and gneiss plateau with sandy topsoil. Located between the valley and the foothills, this site rises to about 40 meters, with all-day sun exposure but good ventilation due to altitude. Subtle tangerine perfumes the tender nose, with a slight lift of chervil. The palate is slender and bright, with beautiful fruit concentration on a citrus-driven, contoured body that flows with energy and smoothness. This is bone-dry, with a long and citric finish.
