2021 Charles Baur "Fronenberg" Gewürztraminer Alsace

On paper this Alsace gewurz is off-dry, but the impression on the medium- to full-bodied palate is clearly dry. Restrained aromas for this grape with the emphasis on ripe star fruit and grapefruit pith, with no hint of extravagance. Very clean finish with lots of subtle spicy nuances. With a little bit more length this would be stunning. From organically grown grapes. Drink now.
