From the Trefethen Family, a pillar of the Oak Knoll District in Napa Valley, their 2020 combines 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Malbec, and 4% Cabernet Franc, aged 18 months in French, American, and Hungarian oak. Intriguing black-toned fruits are threaded with dried thyme, sage, and walnut husk notes. Full-bodied with juicy blackberry fruits, agave nectar, and kirsch lay a fruit-forward foundation atop fine, powdery tannins while the finish remains positively fresh thanks to soaring acid tension.
