The D.N.M.C. Branco is a blend of Bical and Arinto. The winery explains the name of the wine “’dinamica’—D.N.M.C.". This is a regional blend, a way of introducing Bairrada. Bairrada is the coolest growing region in Portugal. Unlike other regions, Bairrada is directly exposed to the Atlantic. Most vineyards are located on gentle slopes and the soil is very chalky. This Bairrada through a Burgundian lens. The grapes are hand harvested, then whole bunch pressed, fermented with native yeast in mostly stainless steel but 10% in old French oak barrels. The wine is then aged in neutral barrels on lees (no stirring) and is stabilized over the winter then blended in the spring. This is a moderately textured wine with fresh acidity, minerality and the unique expressive aromatics of Bical and Arinto.
