Reviewed December 2022I love this easy-to-drink 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon from McPrice Myers that well overdelivers for its price. Deep ruby-purple, it has alluring aromas of cassis, pencil shavings, dried herbs, leather and lavender, plus classy touches of oak spice. The full-bodied palate is concentrated and powerful without going over the top. It has abundant, grainy tannins, flinty streaks and plenty of refreshing acidity to carry the long finish.

Mac & Billy is a blockbuster Cab of huge power and richness. This wine encapsulates all that is good about Paso Robles Cab but avoids becoming over the top or out of balance. Highly perfumed with crème de cassis, black cherry, cedar and crushed stone. Full-bodied, decadent, and fruit-driven, but with nice lift and freshness throughout. Can certainly be enjoyed right now, but I bet this will age nicely too. This delivers big-time value for the money. Cult Napa Cab drinkers take note—this could be your Tuesday night wine, as it stacks up very favorably against some much more expensive bottles.

This Cabernet Sauvignon from Paso Robles is blended with Malbec (6%), Merlot (5%), and Petite Sirah (5%). Aged for 10 months in French Oak (20% New) and Stainless Steel. Strong aromas of ripe blackberries, black licorice, black plums, fig jam, black pepper, leather, and cedar. On the palate, juicy, ripe, but never jammy, with ample acidity to maintain it's balance. A great value Cabernet, that would be the perfect pair for grilled meat!
