Relatively new DOCG, and once a subzone of the Barbera d'Asti denomination. Old vines planted in 1940. A shade deeper than their straight Barbera d’Asti of the same vintage. Lots of concentrated blueberry on the nose and minerally notes. Lifted, bright blueberry palate with linear, vibrant acidity. Perfect grainy tannins. Very long and vibrant. 17.5/20 points (WS)
