Burghound
Reviewed June 2024Slightly fresher and more layered aromas include those of poached pear and apple along with pretty floral hints. The succulent, round and delicious medium weight flavors possess a more sophisticated texture with better depth and persistence as well. Worth considering.

Pale lemon and lime. Quite a cool nose, with some white fruit behind. Good flesh backed by adequate acidity, and air length, despite the slightly chunky nature. Indeed, the fruit does keep coming back. On the muscular side, more than elegant, but will deliver a solid bottle of White Burgundy. Drink from 2024-2027.

The 2022 Bourgogne Blanc Côte d'Or is a significant level-up from the Aligoté this year, with more fruit concentration and better definition. The palate is well balanced with a keen line of acidity—a saline Bourgogne Côte d'Or with quite a tensile, steely finish. Well crafted. (NM)
Notes
Bill Nanson Burgundy Report: "5 parcels including a lieu-dit Champ Canet which is next to the 1er of the same name and Chalumaux but classified as Bourgogne.Larger aromatic made from 3 parcels- starting with a little diam reduction and then opening nicely. Broader, more structurally shaped – extra depth to deeper flavour – that’s a super Bourgogne." (12/2023)
