100% Chardonnay expressing aromatics of reduction and bloomed yeast with an oxidative back end. Crispin and golden delicious apple comes across as lush and lively with a hint of brown pear, under ripe tropical fruit, candied lemon, toast and dry yet textured mouthfeel. For the age this is still very youthful and can age even longer if one should choose to do so.
Notes
Domaine des Carlines was founded in 2015 by husband and wife team, Patrick and Sophie Ligeron. Patrick was born in Jura and Sophie had a longstanding career in the wine industry. They now live their dreams through 11 hectares of vines in Ménétru-Le-Vignoble, part of Château-Châlon appellation. Handpicked lots were vinified separately for Voile de Chardonnay and the wine is fermented and aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.
