2021 Château de la Charrière Beaune "Les Epenottes"

The one main thing that I appreciate about the Charriere releases (both red and white) are their purity and cleanliness. This Beaune is no exception to that. A fresh, bright nose with Bing cherry, clean earth and light cranberry fruit. On the palate, the cherry flavors are retained but, they flesh out and are joined by a juicy mid-palate of tart strawberry and bright red fruits and minerals. Just the very slightest hint of white pepper on the finish joining the ample minerals. As always, a superb bargain!
