2010 Watkins Family "Bismark Vineyard" Moon Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon

The vineyard shares those same distinctive, red volcanic soils, low yields, and natural concentration. After 10+ years of ageing this wine still has plenty of deep, dense primary fruit, ripe plum, blackcurrant mingling with briary tones, leather, cigar box, and dusty red earth. The tannins have melted away, and the palate is silky smooth and quite elegant.
