Rhum Clément Cask Strength Single Barrel #229 Rhum Agricole Martinique (750ml)

When you see "Rhum" on the label, expect a character quite different from the more familiar "Rum". That added "h" signifies rhum agricole, a French style that is distilled from fresh squeezed, pure sugarcane juice. The process must be carried out following specific standards mandated by the AOC. In contrast, rum is generally made from molasses or sugar cane by-products. Where rum tends toward caramel and spice, rhum has a funky, grassy character that is utterly unique. Given the cask strength, add a bit of water to the glass for an explosion of flavors. Since 2021 Julien Thimon has overseen the production process, innovating but still staying true to Clément's overall character.
