Reviewed August 2020Hand-picked from a 98yo bushvine vineyard, and saw a little time in old French oak, the intention to focus all the attention on the fruit and its low alcohol (for grenache). It is a grenache with the potential longevity of a top class Rhone producer. Given its provenance, it's absurdly cheap.

Deep red/purple colour; a bright, youthful, excellent wine. Rich dark berries and plums. Lovely and supple, with plenty of fleshy extract. It's not a simple lightly-structured grenache, but has plenty of power. Very good indeed. (Huon Hooke, The Real Review)

This has beautifully struck purity and fruit presence on the nose with raspberries, red flowers and a light wild-herb edge, as well as wet-stone notes. The palate sports well-tailored tannins and there’s a great interface between freshness and depth. This flies the flag high for Grenache!
