Thanks to mutual friends, the Rare Perfection team got a call about these mysterious casks. After tasting them blind, they were floored and demanded details. The revelation? These ancient barrels were filled with a four-grain bourbon mashbill distilled in Waterloo, Canada, aged in new charred oak, and stored in a single-level warehouse that maintained frigid temperatures year-round. That slow, cold maturation dramatically tempered the wood interaction, resulting in a whiskey of extraordinary finesse and depth. After 14 and 15 years, the result is nothing short of Rare Perfection.
