Reviewed August 2017This winery always manages to pack in rich fruit and hearty spice. This bottling shows bay leaf, anise, pine needle and black tea aromas that accent a core of plum. That hearty dark fruit carries through to the palate as well, but warms up with earthy soil, licorice and minty fudge flavors. A luscious, lingering mouthful. (MK)

Here again is a Pinot that tips to ripeness without going too far, and, while fleshy and fairly full on the palate, it is buoyed by fine balancing acidity and wholly free of the distractions of evident heat. It is solidly fruity with a sustained sense of richness, and its nominal tannins afford a bit of back-palate grip without becoming unduly coarse or astringent. It is a wine best left in the cellar for at least two or three years, and we see it improving for a good half-dozen or more. *One Star*
