Notes
The folks at Banshee take their rosé production very seriously. They employ hand harvesting and whole-cluster pressing of grapes (in 2016, the blend is 48% Grenache, 22% Pinot Noir, 16% Syrah, 14% Barbera) designated for rosé from the beginning, rather than bleeding some runoff juice of a wine destined to be a red. The primary new vineyard source for this aromatic and bright rosé is biodynamically farmed, and the attention to detail from start to finish shows through in the bottle. From Banshee: "The wine is a pale rose and peach combination in color and lip smacking as it goes down. It also possesses the depth to pair with everything from the lightest amuse-bouche to the main course."
