Smooth Ambler Old Scout 10 Year Old Single Barrel #1847 Cask Strength Bourbon

Another single barrel from the folks behind out Faultline Bourbon! The older (by a few months) of these two new casks, full of power and heft. These two casks were filled at low proofs (around 100 proof) and hence are relatively low for Cask Strength bourbon, but the resulting increased maturity is evident. Coming out of the casks at a slightly higher proof than her sister, the weight and mouthfeel are heavy and viscous, giving you every ounce of Bourbony goodness it can deliver. The nose is big, with notes of sweet cinnamon and dark maple syrup, begging you to take a sip. On the palate, your senses are consumed with maple bars and cloves. Like opening a fresh cigar box, tobacco leaf and woody spice continue with the dark flavor themed profile. Perfect for those of you who like the richer side of Bourbon.
