Strohmeier "Schilcher Frizzzante" Styria

Schilcher is unique to Western Styria, produced from the local blauer wildbacher grape. It’s often made into fruity, easy sparklers; the Strohmeiers, however, make theirs using biodynamic methods and no cultured yeasts. The result is a spicy rosé with a rich texture and plenty of flavor, from red currant to herbs and earth. Those flavors last with a cool intensity, unfolding to expose more spice, more fruit and more detail with air. The grape’s trademark acidity is wrapped into the flavor, making this a terrific companion to Austrian speck.
