This looks like Motor Oil! It's ultra rich and with powerful sherry notes on the nose. Dense dried plum and raisins, woodsy spice and exotic wood. On the palate, sparks are flying! Slight flintiness followed by more dry oloroso flavors. I would stand this up against any sherried whisky in the store at ANY price. A magnificent whisky and really quite a good price for what it is.

Only 5 cases for California and we got them all! This is massively sherried Balblair at the peak of maturity. A true "sherry bomb" if you're in the market for one. Dark like coffee, rich like molasses. It's a dream for any lover of the sherried style, but also a great introduction to the unusual Balblair Distillery.
