2014 Leitz Pinot Noir Rosé Rheingau (last of vintage)

From Johannes Leitz, the creative winemaker behind Dragonstone Riesling and EINS-ZWEI-DRY. From the winery's note: "This hearty, vigorous rosé with a Pinot Noir base has a range of bouquet that recalls strawberries, violets, raspberries and rhubarb. There is also a hint of lovage and sandalwood. A melting, gentle residual sweetness accompanies every sip. Serve well cooled! It goes well with wild onions in olive oil, air-dried ham, salami, parmesan and naturally a barbecue."
