This one, distilled in 2000, is worth seeking out.
Aged for 12 years before finishing in Sherry casks,
this sipper offers rounded, lip-smacking notes of
caramelized brown sugar and allspice, fading into a
rich hazelnut and toffee finish. The proof feels comparatively
high, but an ice cube or two should help
restore balance.
Notes
This 12 year old blend of light and heavy rums is matured in ex bourbon and scotch barrels before being married and finished in sherry.
