Reviewed February 2012The 2010 Beaune Bressandes is an attractive, generous wine laced with black cherries, tar, licorice, spices and violets. Underlying notes of minerality support the fruit through to the intense finish. There are some elements of wildness that appear in the glass, but they don't materially detract from the wine's energy and focus. (AG)

A ripe, cool and admirably pure nose offers up notes of both red and blue pinot fruit, plum and violet aromas that complement well the rich, delicious and attractively concentrated flavors that possess a firm and mouth coating texture, all wrapped in a long, balanced and moderately austere finish. Like the Pertuisots, this will need up to a decade to fully resolve the supporting structure.
