Can Macià Bohigas Cava Brut Penedes

Can Macià, who produces Bohigas Cava and wines, is located in the Conca de l'Anoia sub-zone of Penedes. Some of the best land in the Penedes for Cava production is here, and Bohigas has neighbors such as Raventos and Recaredo. The family has had vineyards in their family since the 13th century. These days, they produce a wonderful range of Cavas, beginning with this excellent brut. Given 24 months on the lees and 6g of dosage, this is a lovely, balanced Cava, with ripe, tasty yellow fruit and pear flavors. It is a very complete sparkler and the balance of the base wine really shows itself. Compare to other Cavas at this price and we think you'll find that this is a notch above the rest.
