Reviewed July 2013Finished in the barrel with specially seared oak staves, this bourbon is a new classic. In the glass, it sports a bright maple color, and lively, spicy aromas and flavors of oaky vanilla and tropical fruit touched with clove, ginger and allspice. (KN)

Aromas of cooked cherries and plums, caramel, cocoa powder, tiramisu, toasted tobacco leaves, cut grass, and pulled taffy create a heady first impression. In the mouth, it's silky and somewhat light, with notes of peanut, walnut shell, cherry cough drops, cinnamon, black pepper, and cigar wrapper. The finish is short and leathery, with espresso, cocoa powder, and bitter almond. (SB, Winter-2019)

Aromas of nut brittle, milk chocolate, and leather with a chewy, crisp, dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body and a peppery, amusing, medium-long cinnamon mole, puffed farro, pistachio, ponzu, mint tea, and caramel finish.
