Built around an austere line of sharp citrus, it also has good mineral grip and a pleasing lick of talc at the finish. There’s a concentration of flavours without forcing any element, amplifying the attributes of a superior vintage. Effortless balance is achieved in this powerful wine.

Typically regional riesling that is palpably dry, mid-weighted and tensile, requiring a couple of years in the bottle to soften to its idyll. Scents of lemon drop, mandarin peel, quince and baked apple. A twist of quinine and sherbet, a little tangy, conclude. Drink or hold.

Like touching the tip of your tongue on the point of warrior goddess’ spear, upon first sip the 2023 Sons of Eden "Freya" Riesling introduces itself in a wonderfully electrifying way. Mouthwatering acidity and stimulating minerality—dry and lithe with crisp golden apple, lemon curd, tangerine, and faint orange blossom with a subtle flinty finish. This elegant Riesling shines on its own but will really radiate with food. Buy one for yourself and one to take to holiday dinners as it will please a variety of palates, bringing peace and happiness to gatherings everywhere. I truly believe that’s why this wine was made. For the price, it’s a no-brainer.

A stunning value for under $20! This beautifully poised, classically styled Eden Valley Riesling delivers the goods. Vibrant, crystalline fruit, citrus pith, wet slate minerals. Electric and fresh, but with a very slight "rounding off" of the edges to make this bottling a little more user friendly than some Eden Valley Rieslings that can sometimes really pack a tart punch. Fantastic for panko crusted crab cakes or sautéed shrimp. This will also age beautifully for a decade of more if you're so inclined.
