Beautiful complex Chardonnay from Macon, it's elegant with lovely orchard fruit and light citrus notes, supported by fresh acidity and light mineral note. For me it's one of the best everyday Burgundy wines you can have with chicken, fish and cheese. It overdelivers for its price and comes from very small family-run winery that pays extra attention to quality of their wine. Worth buying a case of it.

This is still one of my very favorite Macon's and the 2022 is one of the best releases ever! It has a subtle and delicate nose of citrus fruit, minerals and green apple. On the palate are very lively flavors of lemon zest, ripe kiwi, more green apple and a touch of sea salt. Simply put, absolutely delicious.

Notes

Domaine Renaud is a small operation in the town of Puissé making Mâcon, Pouilly-Fuissé and St. Veran from twelve hectares of estate vineyards. Their cellar is modern and they use upright ovals for many of the wines, stainless steel for others. The wines have long been customer favorites at K&L with their clean and fresh style, and their affordable price tags. With citrus and stone fruit profiles, zippy acidity, and a minerality that comes from their humble terroir, we think Renaud is one of the best entry-level Burgundy estates we carry at K&L.
