Like its sister release, the Macon Solutre, the Charnay has a delicate and refreshing nose but, where the Solutre has green apple fruit, the Charnay has yellow apple fruit. These is also a lovely lemon mousse, with yellow apple and yellow pear flavors. Like the Solutre, it also has a lingering finish of citrus, spice and sea salt. Another winner from this great vintage!

Domaine Renaud is a small operation in the town of Puissé making Mâcon, Pouilly-Fuissé and St. Veran from twelve hectares of estate vineyards. Their cellar is modern and they use upright ovals for many of the wines, stainless steel for others. The wines have long been customer favorites at K&L with their clean and fresh style, and their affordable price tags. With citrus and stone fruit profiles, zippy acidity, and a minerality that comes from their humble terroir, we think Renaud is one of the best entry-level Burgundy estates we carry at K&L.
