Old Ezra 7 Year Old Barrel Strength Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

The new full strenght product from Luxco's Ezra brand is one of the most exciting new products from the ever improving line of whiskies. Based in Bardstown, but likely distilled near Louisville, the presumed distiller does not bottle much of their whisky at cask strength and when they do it's usually one of the fastest selling things around. The "classic" receipe is not the same as the other great Luxco brands, David Nicholson and Rebel Yell, but is likely sourced from the same distillers. In the mean time, Luxco have built a new distillery right in Bardstown and are filling the warehouses at the aptly name Lux Row distillery with excellent bourbons of many different styles. But we were very happy to see them continue to expand their portfolio and begin to offer more premium whiskies bottled at full proof, just where we want them. Expect a big bold style with plenty of spice and texture and a creamy rich texture to keep the heat in check. Obviously this one is quiet limited and won't last forever.
