Also well-made, the 2017 Chardonnay has the classic rich style of the estate and gives up plenty of buttered apple, candied lemon, and brioche notes. It's mouthfilling, sweetly fruited, and unquestionably delicious. Drink it over the coming year or two.

The cool Carneros region, where San Pablo Bay meets both Napa and Sonoma valleys, provides beautiful, fresh acidity and the key sense of balance for these fan-favorite Chardonnays. Rombauer has been producing the Carneros-specific Chardonnay since 1990, and the 2017 is a pristine example of this classic style balancing bold fruit and lively acidity.
