Composed of organically grown Pineau d'Aunis sourced from vineyards that grow on chalk and limestone soils, with an average vine age of 30 years. Fermented in stainless steel, it’s aged in-bottle on its lees for 12 months. Finishing dosage is 15g/L, making it extra dry. The nose charms with Red Vines licorice, cherry, strawberry, cherry blossoms, peppers, and fresh green herbs. The palate is perky—off-dry with cherry hard candies, stewed plums, green peppers, and gravel. Refreshing acidity keeps the sweetness in check. After my third sip my first thought was—I want to meet the winemaker who made this because I bet they’re a hoot! Turns out, his name is Benoit Brazilier and by how this wine tastes, I’m certain he likes to have a good time and wants everyone else to have fun as well. This would appeal to the Prosecco crowd for sure. Great for dull days when you need a little cheering up but don’t want something excessively complicated or expensive. Excellent for brunch, backyard gatherings, porch lounging with friends, or watching the sun set on the beach after a hot summer day. *Vegan*
