With intimations of sea breeze, bittersweet floral perfume, and pit-inflected cherry and plum, Chateau des Jacques’s generic 2010 Moulin-a-Vent delivers every bit as much complexity and saliva-inducement as I attributed to it in my Issue 196 review from tank, but meantime, the fruit has lost none of its exuberant freshness while the tannins have acquired considerably more refinement and this is as pleasurable now as it should be through at least 2015.
