A dark, garnet-colored appearance with brooding, masculine tones of spice, ripe fruit and dark cherry. Beautiful balsam notes of cola, dried mint and ginger. Balanced and not overdone. Let the tannins soften with age.

Slightly earthy and funky on the nose, with ripe fruit. Full body, with chewy tannins and a fruity finish. A little austere textured, but excellent. Enticing finish. Drink now or hold.

Almost Cabernet-like, with black currant and dusty cedar notes, this red also bears tobacco and underbrush flavors, with a firm, dry finish. Best from 2013 through 2023.

K&L Notes
The Rubegni family has roots in the Tuscan countryside going back for generations, and they have been proprietors and growers of Podere La Vigna since 1973. Estate vineyards with southeast to southwest exposure were exclusively sourced for this Brunello di Montalcino. The wine spent two years before being bottled and further rested before release.
