2010 Domaine Santa Duc "Les Garancières" Gigondas

Santa Duc's Garancières bottling is sourced from a collection of old vines in diverse soil types across Gigondas, and it provides a snapshot of the appellation in the given vintage. The blend of 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre is fermented in an extended maceration which includes stalks from half of the clusters. Half of the wine is aged in steel tanks on fine lees and ther other half in old wooden vats. The wine emphasizes a pristine profile of red fruit and fine structure on a medium to full body. 14.5% abv.
