Sophia Loren incarnate indeed! Sexy red cherry, sandalwood, red currant, roses, spice, earth, and petrol with classic Nebbiolo medium plus acidity and medium plus tannin. This beauty can stand up to an Italian Nebbiolo any day.

An absolutely stunning Gerwurtztraminer! Classic aromatics and incredible palate delivery of white flowers, peaches, apricot, lychee and rose with well-balanced, bright acid makes this new Direct Import a no-brainer for Gerwutz lovers everywhere! Not at all sappy or clying, but fresh & clean in the finish. The complexity you get for the price puts it on the very top of my Gerwurtz list! Get it while you can- before I sell it to every customer in Redwood City!

2010 Te Mata "Awatea" Bordeaux Blend Hawkes Bay New Zealand

Seriously aromatically intriguing! Strawberry, raspberry, frsh cherry, sandalwood, spice, cassis with medium plus acidity and fine tannin. Beautifully balanced with significant backbone. Drink it with decanting and great food, or tuck away for a decade if you like- you won't be disappointed!

2009 Au Bon Climat "Talley Vineyard-Santa Barbara Historic Vineyards Collection" San Luis Obispo County Chardonnay

This wine is demonstrative of Jim Clendenin's magical Chardonnay abilites. The Talley vineyards have been famous in their own right for many years for beautiful fruit. Au Bon Climat's bottling here is floral, feminine, vanilla, butter and coconut. Medium plus acidity keeps it from getting cloying, and the balance of tannin is soft and approachable. This is a really special wine that we are honored to sell.

1990 Mortlach 22 Year Old K&L Exclusive Chieftain's Single Sherry Barrel Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky 750ml

If there is one single malt I'm going to drop the cash on this year, the Mortlach has just won my first choice slot. Baking spices like cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg with caramel and vanilla. Sweet richness intertwined with a meaty saline quality. Stunningly layered and crazy drinkable. Snap it up while you can- it's a rarity worthy the splurge.
