La Rocca is entirely Garganega from the limestone and clay soils of Monte Rocchetta, behind Soave's medieval castle. Pieropan first released this single-vineyard Soave Classico in 1978. For 2024, Pieropan reports selective picking as September rains returned; the estate completed harvest by October 20. The cuvée's cellar regimen includes about a year on fine lees in French and Slavonian oak, with regular lees stirring before bottling.
