2004 Keller Dalsheimer Hubacker Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel *** Rheinhessen (375ml)

Rich golden yellow. Ripe aromas of white peach, toasted almond and lavender are woven intricately into the wine's botrytis character. Unctuous and velvety, the wine trickles like nectar across the palate, but there's brilliant acidity underneath, which gives great length to this incredibly concentrated and spicy wine. This is the more elegant of the two great ausleses that Keller produced in 2004. (JP)
