Not sure what everyone else was drinking but this had zero fruit on the palate. Lots of green flavors, black olive, some cigar box on the nose and good acidity, but otherwise pretty closed up, even after a day. Tried with steak, mushrooms, onions which you'd think would coax some flavors out of a Malbec. Not bad just not seductive or delicious like others even in this price range.

Like this even more than their GV. Super food-friendly, fruity but without the sugar. Tropical fruit & quince on the nose, tart apple on the palate, great acidity all the way through.

Enjoyed this classic Pinot, earthy, mushroomy nose, juicy and spicy on the palate. Little timid on the finish, but very good food wine. Paired with braised pork.

Gorgeous. Lemon, apple, mineral finish, good body. Not as high in acid as French examples of Picpoul, more like how what want unoaked Chardonnay to taste like but never get.

2008 Claus Preisinger Zweigelt

Had high hopes after having last had the very good '05. Unfortunately not very interesting at all. Either I'm drinking this too young, or the '08 is really rather flat. No fruit, high acid, no mid palate, short finish. I'll leave this open for a day or two, but disappointing.

Agree with other review, this is a very good wine at $9, fruity, spicy, delicious. Finishes dry but otherwise not distinguishable. Fantastic with herb roasted chicken and inexpensive enough to have around every day.

This is mostly 'cigar box' on the palette, aka fake wood chip flavor. Somewhat green nose, signaling unripe fruit. Not a good value. Was hard to match with a steak, which should be a sin for any cab.

Wanted to like this, but it took a day to settle down and even then was just ok. At first very funky, vegetal, a little rubber, too young (slight hint of spritz) and off balance. On day two more fruit and more balanced. There's better, even at this price, look to Central CA for every day syrahs.
