2005 Bowmore 20 Year Old "Redacted Bros." (Thompson/Dornoch) Single Refill Ex-Bourbon Cask Strength Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

This special old barrel was bottled by our friends at Dornoch Distillery under the festive Dornoch Castle Hotel Anniversary label. This series of exceptionally curated casks was selected to commemorate 25 years of independent family ownership of the special property in the gorgeous little eponymously named town. The hotel is the site of both the original Dornoch Distillery and the fabulous whisky bar that Phil and Simon worked so hard to curate in the early years. It remains one of the world’s great whisky bars, tucked into a little corner of the hotel’s modest restaurant. This stupendous old barrel of Bowmore represents an exciting new phase in our relationship with Thompson Bros. Due to the current climate, they have managed to secure some seriously high quality barrels at extremely sharp prices, and our longstanding relationship with the team translates into exceptional opportunities. This cask of Bowmore was filled on September 19, 2005 and bottled in March 2026 at a natural cask strength of 52.1% alc by vol. It was bottled without coloring, chill filtration, or any other additions whatsoever, exclusively for K&L Wine Merchants.
