The 2022 Riesling Steinertal was picked from two parcels on the higher reaches of the Steinertal, close to the forest edge. Crushed citrus foliage and green Seville orange are subtle but distinct on the nose. The palate is compact and bright—a wonderfully brisk Riesling with rounded fluidity on its linear, driven body. What a pure and bright expression of stone and citrus. Aromatic, taut, and so enticingly fragrant, this is a fine-boned and slender yet notably concentrated Riesling. (Bone-dry)(AK)

The 2022 Loibner Ried Steinertal Riesling is dense and concentrated on the ripe and intense nose that can't deny a certain concentration or even over maturity that intermingles with mineral substance and iodine freshness. Round and intense yet surprisingly finessed and playful on the saline palate, with finely grained and rather mild and playful acidity, this is an aromatic Riesling classic that doesn't weigh too much even though the nose had forced those fears. The finish is quite long yet never powerful. A classic! (SR)
