Reviewed April 2025Cult is the flagship wine in Beau Vigne’s elevated series, distinguished by its silkscreened gold ink. The 2023 vintage is expressive and full-bodied, with a bold, rich mouthfeel that blends satin and silk textures within a spectrum of black and blue fruit. Fragrant violets are laced throughout, supported by supple tannins and accents of milk chocolate, dried sage, and sweet oak spice. Crafted by Julien Fayard. (JC)

Beau Vigne Cult is back again with its 15th Anniversary edition and it's back in its beloved, original, screen-printed bottle nonetheless! This wine has had quite the journey in recent years. As some of you may know, Beau Vigne was purchased from its original founder and has undergone a change in winemaking and sourcing of fruit. The prior edition of Beau Vigne Cult we offered a while back surprised many folks as it came with a black paper label and gold foil embossing that was a departure from the distinctive silk-screened, gold print on the bottle that is so synonymous with the brand. Well, things are all working out for the best, and the new stewards of this iconic label are really getting their feet under them and making excellent wines. The most important thing to know here is that with the 2023 Cult Cabernet you're now getting Julian Fayard's winemaking prowess and deeply connected fruit sourcing, at a REALLY great price with our Insider's Advantage deep discount.
In all transparency, the $125 SRP is probably a little inflated. But the reality is this a great bottle of polished, powerful, decadent, Napa Cabernet, made by an exceptionally talented winemaker, that can easily stand up to $80 - $90 bottles any day of the week. At our sub-$30 Insider's Advantage price, this is just a remarkable value that's hard to beat. With the excellent 2023 vintage I think this latest Cult release is even better than the past couple iterations and the 95-point score from Decanter exemplifies that.
Fans of prior Cult bottlings will find a familiar rich, powerful, dark fruit profile, with layers of blackberry, cassis, toasty barrel spice tones, bitter-sweet baker's chocolate, hints of graphite and cedar. Full bodied, round, lush and polished. This is bold, rich, explosive Napa Cab that is a perfect representation of Fayard's style...it's just WAY less expensive than the typical price you have to pay to enjoy his wines! Enjoy!
