There aren't many Rhône blends coming from this cooler appellation, but this split between Grenache from Spear Vineyard and Syrah from John Sebastiano makes a compelling argument for more. Aromas of boysenberry, black cherry and fresh purple flowers lead from the nose into a juicy palate of anise, thyme, peppercorn and bold fruit, with meaty undertones delivering a savory edge. *Editors' Choice*
