Compact and concentrated for a village wine, this makes a serious statement on the palate in spite of having just 13% alcohol. Bold, long finish with plenty of spice and stony minerality. Partly from young vines in the terraced top sites of Durnstein plus some parcels of mature vines on the plain. From organically grown grapes. Vegan. Drink or hold. Screw cap.

Sourced from the terraces, the 2022 Dürnsteiner Grüner Veltliner is very clear, fresh and precise on the intensely fruity nose that intermingles ripe seed fruit aromas with lime and stony/iodine notes. Round and intense yet also refreshingly saline and savory on the palate, this is a medium to full-bodied and intense yet vivacious Veltliner with fine bitters on the intense, well-balanced finish. The 2022 Grüner Veltliner Dürnsteiner was blended from slightly riper valley fruit, a pre-harvest of the single-sites and young vines up to 15 years of age in Loibenberg, Kellerberg, Steinertal, Mühlpoint and Klosteratz. The nose portrays white and black peppercorns crushed with chervil and sage. These notions intensify on the palate, with a brisk contour of citrus freshness on a bright, herbal and linear body.
